Dry Shrimp Kari / இறால் பிரட்டல்
Ingredients
- tail off deveined shrimp - 2 lbs
- white onion cut into half moons - 1/2x
- garlic - 2 cloves
- ginger - same amount as garlic
- curry leaves - 10x
- Jaffna curry powder - 2 tbsp
- salt to taste
- ratchi thool - 2 tsp
- 14g avocado oil
Method
- Heat up oil in a big pot on medium heat
- Cook onions until transculuent (~10-15 minutes)
- Add the garlic, ginger, curry leaves and cook for 2 minutes
- Add the curry powder and cook for 4 minnutes
- Turn the heat up to medium high
- Add the shrimp
- Cook for 10 minutes stirring halfway though
- Add the ratchi thool
- Cook for 5 more minutes
